The symbol
The nazar: a blue eye that looks back at envy and sends it home. It has hung over doors in Greece and Turkey for some three thousand years. Ours rings a dark centre in pale and deep blue stones, then wraps the hook in a single S curve. Worn on the ear, it watches outward.
